ISLINGTON MILL LAST FRIDAYS // 27 JANUARY // 24 FEBRUARY
Last Fridays is a programme of events started in 2022 as Islington Mill gradually reopens to the public and our new space, New Islington Mill, begins to welcome new ideas and potential future visions.
We’re excited to announce the themes of our next two Last Fridays events:
January: TOURS, TUNES ’N’ TEXTILES
If you want to tour our new and old spaces, try your hand at DJing, get some new clothes for free, and have a dance…
If you want to hear how studios shares work and potentially find a future studio-buddy for your new space at Islington Mill…

27 January: TOURS, TUNES ’N’ TEXTILES
4.30pm: Gather in Mirage Bar on the Ground Floor of the main Islington Mill on James Street. Meet early to be amongst the first to explore our new spaces on a guided tour. Say his to some Islington Mill family and find out more about us. Tell your friends, dress warm!
5pm onwards: Building Tours take place from around 5pm till 7pm. Come if you are interested in finding a studio space, we are looking to meet future tenants across our three buildings.
Also at 5pm: Mirage Bar hosts a clothes swap. Bring your old glad rags and pick up something new! Bar is open till 10pm for drinks and threads and good times.
6pm–8pm: Partisan Open Evening. Partisan Collective open their doors for visitors to learn all about them. Sober space till 8pm.
8pm–11pm: Partisan DJ Club: Fancy trying a DJ set? From 8pm Partisan is a haven of music, drinks and dancing. Spinning optional!
24 February: SHARING
Many artists at Islington Mill share space, making studio rental more affordable and leading to fantastic unexpected collaborations.
If you’re interested in having a space at any of the Islington Mill buildings and potentially sharing a studio but don’t know where to start, this event is for you.
You’ll hear from artists in existing studio shares before we move onto ice-breakers and ‘speed-friending’.
Tell us about yourself, your practice, your dream studio space and let’s try to build some potential future studio alliances.
We are asking all attendees to register for a free place via Eventbrite if possible so please click this link to do that.
Please note that not all of our spaces are currently fully accessible but by the time our refurbishment is completed, both the main Islington Mill building and New Islington Mill will have lift access to all floors. We are also happy to discuss access on the evening.
Please direct any studio enquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
