This month’s Last Friday experience offers you a host of simultaneous events happening at the Mill in partnership with two amazing Islington Mill crews: Partisan Collective and Lurid Ultra Hybrid. Heres what to expect…
4.30pm: Gather in Mirage Bar, the mystical-yet-kitsch drinking spot on the Ground Floor of the main Islington Mill building on James Street. (Mirage Bar is the brainchild of Lurid Ultra Hybrid.) Meet early to be amongst the first to explore our new spaces on a guided tour. Say hello to some of the Islington Mill family and find out more about us. Tell your friends, and dress warm!
5pm onwards: The Islington Mill Last Friday Building Tours take place from around 5pm until 7pm. Come along if you are interested in finding a studio space, we are looking to meet future tenants across our three buildings. Please see below for access information.
Also at 5pm: Mirage Bar will be hosting a clothes swap. Bring your old glad rags and pick up something new! A suggested donation of £2 goes to George House Trust, supporting people living with HIV in Greater Manchester. A great place to find a dazzling outfit for the Tranuary festival happening across the city at SOUP. Bar is open till 10pm for drinks and threads and good times.
6pm–8pm: Partisan Open Evening. While you’re not touring our ace spaces, head to Partisan Collective (also on the ground floor of Islington Mill) who open their doors for visitors to learn all about this exciting project that combines, activism, support, art, partying and collectivity. This is a sober space until 8pm.
The theme for our February event will be Sharing. Read all about that by clicking here.
Please note that not all of our spaces are yet fully accessible. Click here for for full access information.
