QUIZLINGTON MILL: The Skinny

Join The Skinny for a super special pub quiz raising money for Islington Mill’s roof repair fund (and celebrating The Skinny North’s fourth birthday while we’re at it!).

Gather your teams for the second edition of QUIZLINGTON MILL: The Skinny’s pub quiz raising money for the #SaveIslingtonMill campaign!

Taking place Thursday 30 March at Salford’s Islington Mill, The Skinny’s Comedy editor and quizmaster supremo John Stansfield (of Manchester’s awesome Sham Bodie comedy night) will be holding the fort while you guzzle lovely beers and compete for some unique prizes.

There’ll be prizes for all teams, and the winning team will win tickets to their Islington Mill show of choice (pending availability) plus a crate of booze.

It’s just £2 per person to enter (max of 6 people per team), with all proceeds going towards the Mill’s campaign to raise funds towards their renovation strategy. And you’ll want to stick around afterwards too, as we’ll be spinning tunes and partying ’til the glitter runs out to celebrate four years of publishing The Skinny magazine in the North of England.

Will last November’s winning team Roofus Aintwright return to defend their title?! Will the controversial crisp dust round make a comeback?! What will Stansfield’s ‘irreverent’ sack of prizes contain?!

You’ll have to attend on 30 March to find out.

WHAT IS #SAVEISLINGTONMILL?

Islington Mill is currently raising £735,000 towards a renovation strategy that will help secure a thriving independent future. As well as installing an urgently needed roof, the planned renovations will utterly transform the currently derelict fifth floor and attic space to create eight brand new Artist and Maker Residence Spaces that will be the first of their kind in the Northwest, as well as large-scale work and exhibition spaces, elevator access, a new entrance to the building and more.
