// A major anniversary announcement from Islington Mill Art Academy. After 10 years pioneering a radical alternative approach to art education, the independent art school, founded and based at Islington Mill, will be the subject of a new PhD in partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University. The 3-year funded post will invite a researcher to work with IMAA as they embark on a period of focused development (more news on that soon). This will provide an opportunity for extended research into viable methods of alternative learning in art, as pioneered at IMAA. Read more and apply here.

// The newest Samarbeta residency welcomes artist SVB (Sarah Van Buren) from New York for a 2-part residency. The first sees the artist making field sound recordings in rural Ireland in spaces of supernatural significance. The second sees these recordings reproduced and re-contextualised musically inside The Fridge at Caustic Coastal. The 3 week residency will culminate in a final performance in The Fridge on 14 Dec. Read more and get tickets.
