Sam writes gay, genre-bending fiction, often collaborating with other writers and artists. His current writing examines how queer people relate to and respond to the urban and rural landscapes around them. Landscapes constructed by and for a hetero-hegemony.His writing is sexy, often funny, frequently dark, sometimes surreal.
Sam is also the founder-producer at Islington Mill based project, dif – that develops and publishes new queer writing that goes beyond the mainstream. AND as a resident steward at Islington Mill’s ‘Intentional Home’ for queer artists, he is working on shaping queer utopias as part of the wider DIY School of Queer Community Organisation (DIYsqco).
