Manchester Type is a type foundry, font developer and typographic consultancy. The business was set up by David Williams, a typeface and graphic designer from Manchester. After studying a BA in graphic design at The University of Salford and an MA Typeface Design at The University of Reading he returned to Manchester to start a business providing multilingual typeface design and font development services to the local business community. David also supports global businesses such as Google in their Noto project which aims to develop fonts for every language around the world.
