Hi, I’m Lee Smith – a Lancashire lad, back in Manchester via an 8 year ‘sabbatical’ as an HR exec in Switzerland. Now, finally, I’m following my passion for design and furniture and running my custom furniture company, Loose Button Upholstery.
I get fired up at the creation of something new, by taking a basic frame and producing a fabulous piece of furniture. The resulting chairs, whether a customisation, commission, or my own design ideas are loved by my customers. I feel privileged to be able to work on great source materials, and incredibly proud of the chairs I make.
The custom furniture I re-create is built (literally) on a foundation of quality craftsmanship that you just don’t see in new furniture. I take these great chairs, couple them with modern, safe and super quality fabrics, with plush padding that’ll support bottoms for years to come!
