DIYD is a artist-led darkroom with a real emphasis on community and experimentation.
Membership is free, discretionary and limited to 13, with members encouraged to participate in community activities such as regular exhibitions, monthly zine, group blog/instagram, ongoing projects and the opportunity to run small workshops.
The facilities include colour and B&W enlargers, film processing, scanning suite, photographic studio and are also available for hire to the general public, with rates including an on-call supervisor. Reduced rates available for Islington Mill studio holders, students and the unwaged.
Tutored/guided sessions are on offer for beginners or users in need of additional guidance and a range of affordable process/scan/capture services available if you would rather have a technician do it for you!
