Beth Privitera
Film Programmer & Fine Artist
Beth is a film programmer, currently working for the BFI Academy, with experience in programming for festivals such as Encounters Short Film Festival, BFI Futures, and Grimmfest. Beth’s art practice includes collage, paint and moving image. She often uses a mix of fashion magazine cuttings integrated with images of her own body to explore perceptions of female identity and sexuality. Her experimental short film Submerge is a visual interpretation of feelings and anxieties around vulnerability, body dysmorphia and sexual pain disorders.
