HOW TO BUILD YOUR CREATIVE PRACTICE

FH100 x Islington Mill:

Dates:

12th Feb 18:00-20:00
26th Feb 18:00-20:00
12th March 18:00-20:00

This series of free workshops has been created in partnership with Islington Mill, a home to creatives that champions and supports the LGBTQIA+ community in Greater Manchester. Though these sessions are open to anyone interested in starting a business, they will pay particular attention to launching and growing a venture within the creative sector.

The workshops will be led by Chelsie Southern, the founder of Studio Dawn—a queer- and female-owned craft and self-care business with roots in Salford and Leeds. Drawing on her lived experience as a queer entrepreneur, Chelsie will share practical insights and actionable advice on navigating the realities of entrepreneurship.

With honesty and authenticity, Chelsie will highlight both the rewarding moments and the challenges of her journey, offering a nuanced perspective on the obstacles and opportunities faced by LGBTQIA+ business owners. Participants will gain valuable tools, build connections, and learn how to create sustainable and impactful businesses in a supportive and inclusive environment.
