One Tree Producing presents Day of the Dead, a theatrical celebration of the lives of our nearest and dearest who have sadly past.
Dress up and head down to Islington Mill for a unforgettable night of music, dance and theatricals.
Fresh Food made by Stomping Grounds will be available from 7pm with our master of ceremonies kicking off the celebrations from 8pm.
Drymbago – Live
Drymbago are a 10 piece afro-tropical-funk band from the depths of Snowdonia. They draw their sound from a point where the rhythms of Africa meet the melodies of Latin America, a tropical melting pot that speaks to all dance floors. Music for the soul and for the feet.
“These are guys are cooking!” Tony Allen (Kaya Festival)
“Brilliant! Like Antibalas on MDMA” Nickodemus (TropiBomb, Mallorca)
DJ’s Guy Morley (No Nation) & Jimla (One Tree Isalnd)
Bring an image of someone you love and have lost & add to our shrine.
Have something to say about them? Then send us a few sentences or a poem in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org and our Master of Ceremonies will perform it for you live on the night.
Please note: this event is not part of the Dia de los Muertos public holiday, which has significant religious meaning.
Our event is open to all regardless of religion & ethnicity and sets out to be a night of celebration in honour of those we love and miss.
