Biome is known for his brooding half-step, spacious vibes and dark atmospheric compositions. With a rich back catalogue of dubstep and bass music stretching back ten years, he has releases on Macabre Unit, Tempa and Black Box. More recently Madam X’s imprint Kaizen has released Griddled, his EP of dark club rollers, and he takes on production duties for the loose-knit Manchester collective Levelz.
Discovering electronic music through podcasts rather than raves and coming lately to soundsystem culture, Iglew is hyper aware of how effective bass can be, and produces music that is stark but devastatingly emotive. Urban Myth, Iglew’s debut EP, was the first vinyl release on Mr Mitch’s Gobstopper Records label. His sound sits neatly alongside Mr Mitch’s Peace Dub aesthetic and the vibe of label mates Loom, Dark0 and Strict Face, as well as recent releases by artists such as Gage and Odeko.
Since Urban Myth, Iglew has released a number of spaced out remixes of grime tunes, collaborated with E.M.M.A. and has a track on the upcoming Boxed EP. He has also explored the outer edges of grime, trap and more ambient sounds on Radar Radio, NTS and in a new mix for Truants. We saw Iglew shell down Come Thru in Leeds and the first Force Majeure night in Sheffield, and can’t wait to see what fire he’s got in store this time.
Resident DJ at Slut Drop in Leeds, bass boss and king of underground parties, TACAT’s sets are bursting with colour, colossal surges of bass and thick, serrated industrial noise.
Skeletal future grime and sensory overload from an up and coming Manchester-based producer

Force Majeure and SLUT DROP are joining forces once again, bringing filthy sounds to our new favourite Northern city, this time in support of Manchester’s newest and most exciting DIY venue and social space – Partisan Collective.
Partisan Collective aims to create a space for independent, DIY, cultural and political activities in Manchester, and we want to help them! It’ll be an organisational hub, a social and events space which progressive groups and independent cultural groups can use for free for meetings, film screening, book launches, parties and gigs. They’re a friendly bunch, so get involved!
SLUT DROP => SLUT DROP was set up with the twin aims of putting on some sick new music and providing a platform to women across all aspects of electronic music in Leeds. DJS, producers, sound and lighting engineers, VJs, graphic designers, wannabees and anyone else excited about new electronic music and partying hard – get in touch!
Force Majeure => 140 bpm full communism hailing from Sheffield.
