What do we do?
We make work for the here and now which responds to the world we live in and questions what it means to be part of society. We provide platforms for under-represented voices and work to open conversations, provoke debate and challenge perceptions. We provide creative experiences in the form of performances, projects, exhibitions, workshops and training.
Collaborating with industry-leading artists and innovative organisations, we create, produce and deliver professional performances that tour to arts venues and unexpected places. From new writing to contemporary and interactive micro-works, our work takes many forms, united by a desire to create spaces for people to connect.
We share stories with a social conscience, exploring themes such as identity, mental health, social justice and equality. Sometimes we tell our stories, sometimes we tell yours, but we’re especially interested in sharing stories that might otherwise go untold.
Our performance work rarely stands alone and is delivered hand in hand with participatory activity such as workshops, education packs, CPD training and aftercare initiatives. We have been commissioned to create work for, and partnered with Museum of London, Southbank Centre, The Lowry, Oldham Library, The Proud Trust, People’s History Museum and Contact.
Why do we do it?
“The work of Art with Heart is a must see, the positive change they are making is incredible” – The Reviews Hub
We’re invested in being part of positive change and work with audiences and participants to galvanise social action.
We provide platforms for voices and stories that are often untold and encourage audiences to look at the world from a different angle. We work to open conversations, provoke debate and challenge perceptions.
We focus on encouraging and engaging women, young people and isolated communities in the arts and are committed to providing accessible artistic experiences. As a Queer led company, we work extensively within the LGBTQ+ community.
As a rule we try to provide a quality brew and biscuits for the people we work with, and listen more than we speak.
