John Powell-Jones was recently part of the International Artists Delegation to Budapest, organised by Castlefield Gallery and A-N.
The aim of the trip was to establish relationships with the emerging grass roots and artist run spaces in Budapest, due to the growing problematic political situation more and more of the creative community are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with accepting support from the government, therefore alternative methods of funding are being established.
Next Thursday (19th) at 6pm in the Common Room, John will give a brief overview on some of the topics of discussion over the duration of the trip and the organisations/people we visited.
It’ll be short and informal, bring a dish to share and bring some booze!
