From 11th – 31st July 2018, a traditional Finnish-style sauna will be open to the public in Islington Mill’s courtyard.
Olivia Glasser will be in residence as maître d’sauna, stoking the stove and hosting additional discussions & interventions. Éncore Room is a continuation of Olivia’s exploration in to public saunas as ‘worldly spaces’ with potential for enabling the event of democratic subjectivity.
Come down to soak in the steam, cool down in the outdoor shower and relax in an immersive sensory space with others.
The sauna is drop in.

The British Sauna Society (yes, there is such a thing!) are visiting as part of their Great Northern Sauna Meet Up (pt 2).
Come and sweat with us, hear more about the growing sauna movement in the UK, & join a workshop in sauna whisking, a tradition of gently whipping the body using bundled branches.
