Islington Mill Art Academy: Group Project (Salvatore Mundi)

Wednesday March 21st 6.30pm – 8.30pm

followed by… Potluck Dinner – Please bring a dish to share (enough for 1 person, can be home-cooked or shop bought) and whatever you’d like to drink
First session of a group project to create responses to the Da Vinci painting, Salvatore Mundi (Saviour of the World), recently sold at auction for $450,000,000, making it the most expensive painting ever. At this session we will share and discuss our initial responses, and how we might translate these into artworks or other creative responses. We will put a plan of action into place for how to develop this as a group project.

Islington Mill Art Academy (IMAA) is our free peer-led art school, open to anyone who wants to be an artist. Learning activities (workshops, crits, coaching, group residencies and projects) are shared and led by the energy and ideas of current student-members. Currently we meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at the Mill’s 1st Floor Common Room. We encourage anyone interested in joining the Academy to attend an upcoming session. Please get in touch if you would like to join this session: artacademy@islingtonmill.com
