Experimental Film Workshop with IMPATV & Islington Mill Art Academy

Islington Mill Art Academy (IMAA) offer free open public sessions every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month.
For Wednesday 5th Sept session, we have invited IMPATV (Islington Mill Public Access TV) to host a practical workshop using their eclectic collection of video equipment. During the workshop, we will be exploring feedback loops, live green screen, and various pieces of mixing and effects hardware. Participants will have the opportunity collaboratively create experimental videos.

** Free to attend, no need to book

Info: artacademy@islingtonmill.com
Time: 4- 8pm, followed by Potluck Dinner (please bring a dish to share)

About IMPATV: Since 2015, IMPATV have harnessed a unique visual aesthetic inspired by the defunct media of public access television, appropriating a lust for the odd and experimenting within. They combine obsolete and modern technology in order to broadcast and stream to you a plethora of weird and wonderful live music, performance and dance around the UK.

About Islington Mill Art Academy: (IMAA) is our free peer-led art school. It is open to anyone who wants to be an artist. Learning activities (workshops, artist talks and studio visits, group residencies and projects, crits and feedback sessions) are shared and led by the ideas and energy of current student-members. IMAA is not formally accredited; students choose to graduate when they feel ready to work more independently as artists.

Currently we meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month (with optional extra time for group projects), followed by a potluck dinner. We encourage anyone interested in joining to attend an upcoming session to discover if it is the right approach for you. Please get in touch for details: artacademy@islingtonmill.com
